SLSAJ at Tokyo International Fire and Disaster Prevention Exhibition 2023

As members of the Sri Lankan Students’ Association in Japan (SLSAJ), we had the opportunity to participate in a special event jointly organized by the Tokyo Fire Department and JASSO, focusing on global natural disasters. The event took place on 18th June 2023 at Tokyo Big Sight and attracted numerous international students’ associations from various countries.

At the event, we proudly represented Sri Lanka and presented on the topic of natural disasters in our home country, along with effective measures for disaster prevention. Our aim was to raise awareness about the challenges Sri Lanka faces in dealing with natural disasters and to share insights on how communities can mitigate the risks and enhance their resilience.
