Thai Pongal Festival – 2023

The Sri Lankan Students Association in Japan (SLSAJ) celebrated the Thai Pongal Festival – 2023 in collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Tokyo, Japan on January 14, 2023. The event took place at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Tokyo and was broadcasted on Zoom for wider participation.

We were honored to receive blessings from Worshipful Paranagama Seevali Dhamma Thero of Hachioji Temple, Japan, and His Excellency E. S. Rao, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Japan, Embassy of Sri Lanka in Tokyo. We extend our gratitude to Rodney M, well-wishers of SLSAJ, the staff of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Tokyo, members of SLSAJ, and everyone who joined us on Zoom for their valuable contributions in making this event a success.

The festivities included cultural rituals, songs, and a performance that beautifully showcased unity and solidarity.
