The first session of the webinar series organized by Sri Lanka Students’ Association in Japan was focused on Management and Economics with the theme Policy Dialogue on “Should Sri Lanka Still Be an Open Economy? Realities and Rhetoric” was held on Saturday 13th of March 2021 from 5.00pm-6.30pm via Zoom. Professor. Sirimal Abeyratne, Head and Professor in Economics, Department of Economics, University of Colombo, Chairman, Monetary Policy Consultative Committee, Central Bank of Sri Lanka Sri Lanka, Professor. N. S. Cooray, Professor in Economics, International University of Japan, Japan, Dr. Saliya de Silva, Professor in Economics, Saga University, Japan, and Mr. Kalpa Rajapaksha, Lecturer in Political Economy, at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, and doctoral fellow and teaches at the New School for Social Research, New York, USA were participated as the panelists.
