Sri Lanka Students’ Association in Japan (SLSAJ) is pleased to announce the call for articles for “Tharanga” – the annually published literary magazine of SLSAJ. “Tharanga” is a compilation of a wide variety of literary works including articles and essays on various themes, artworks, poems, paintings, critiques, interviews, information, your achievements and research findings.
We would like to invite you to submit your articles to be published in the 2018 issue of “Tharanga”. In addition to the above-mentioned categories, you are also invited to share photographs, new food recipes, etc. that would be worth sharing.
We are happily looking forward to receiving your valuable contributions to “Tharanga-2018” in order to compile an interesting and successful issue.
Your kind cooperation with a prompt response would be much appreciated. Please feel free to contact us if you have any problem regarding submission.

The event has been scheduled to be held on 21st January 2018 (Sunday) from 1.30 pm onwards at Seihoku Gallery, Yayoi Campus, The University of Tokyo.

70th Independence Day Anniversary official ceremony followed by musical evening “Nidahase Sandawa” featuring popular singer Umaria Sinhawansa will be held from 3.00-6.30 pm at the Reiyukai Hall in Tokyo on 4th February 2018.
All Sri Lankans are cordially invited.

SLSAJ annually organizes an alms giving at Hachioji Temple to bless all the members for a healthy, prosperous and a successful year. This year too we are organizing the alms giving on 01st of January 2018 from 9:30 a.m. onwards and all members are invited to participate in this event.
